Bio:  The Zarger family lived on Yuma Street, and Grant graduated from Manhattan High School.  Grant enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served with the 3rd Armored Division 32nd Regiment.  The 3rd Armored Division “spearheaded” the Army through Normandy in 1944, notably the Battle of Saint Lo.
