Bio:  Born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas.  Orval Patnode would start a family in Manhattan with his wife Genevieve.  He was employed by Sam Saroff's fruit and vegetable wholesale company as a heavy truck driver, before joining the Military on February 22, 1942.  In the war he drove fuel trucks for bomber squadrons of the 12th Air Force.
